The Great Thing About Quilting
Quilting is a rather addicting hobby. I am not the only one, who starts thinking of the “next” quilt, while still working on one. Time doesn’t really slow down while sewing, but you can definitely lose track of time. Anybody that has a hobby they love, will understand that. You get totally absorbed in what you are doing.
I have looked up reasons why people like to quilt. I did not know these things – but now I have even more reasons why I love this. Choosing fabric and colors, engages your emotional brain – this is a healthy thing. 😁 Quilting boosts your focus and memory – wow! that is good too!! 😁 Quilting provides a ‘safe space’ to process emotions. It has definitely been a good outlet for me since my husband, Jeff, passed away in May 2025.
